Who do you find inspirational?
There are many wonderful riders and trainers who are inspiring, but for me it is riders such as Anky and Isabelle etc, who are the most inspirational as they have been the riders who have really excelled in their chosen field.
What are your ambitions?
My ambitions are to continue to learn about training dressage and in general learn as much as I can! This is my main priority; anything else would be a bonus!
Tell us about your most proud dressage moment.
There are a few moments that come to mind, but for me I was most proud of my horse Daisy when we won the first round of the Aachen Challenge at the 2007 Victorian Dressage festival. She felt amazing, especially in the warm up, that for me was the most proud moment, I had to look down and double check if it was still my horse!
Who is the most exciting horse in your stable and why?
I am very lucky to have two very exciting horses in the stable at the moment. ‘Daylight’ (Daisy) is currently my main riding horse, she is a true talent and I feel very lucky to have such a horse. The most recent edition is Elvis, he is rising 3 years old, he shows much promise for being a good dressage horse, and my family and I are hoping he will develop into an exciting prospect in the years to come.
What do you look forward to in your dressage day?
The thing I most look forward to is having the opportunity to ride the horses and learn as much as I possibly can!
Why dressage?
I first saw dressage when I was about 8 years old on the TV. I thought it was just wonderful. I remember watching what would have been the Grand Prix and thinking how amazing these horses and riders looked… I was really in love with the idea of being able to do something like that one day.
When I was about 10 I remember trying some jumping at a riding school, I ended up falling off. That was the end of Jumping for me, I had no desire to go flying through the air involuntarily!
What else is there to life but dressage?
Other than the Dressage, I go to Sydney University studying a Bachelor of Education/Arts. I enjoy doing outdoors activities and spending time with my friends!
If you could have any horse in the world, who would it be?
I saw a horse last year at the Bundeschampionate, a young stallion called Rascalino, I think that is a very nice horse, very sweet looking. I think the WEG horse competing for Mexico “Vincent” was also a favourite for me so they would have to be my choices!
What makes a good dressage horse?
For me the main things are Temperament, and ride ability; with out these two things I feel that it can be difficult to have a really good dressage horse.

The privilege of training a young horse can be likened to the artist with a blank canvas, it all begins with only brush strokes until an image begins to appear.

Motivation often sounds like a lot of pressure - "I must" or "I should", but really it is about you creating a mindset of "I really want" or "I get to".
