"I want my horses to be themselves, individuals, expressive!"
Dressage Training with Heath Ryan is available on DVD, and you can watch a preview online now!
Heath Ryan is one of Australia’s most loved riders, trainers and coaches, making him a very busy man and a wonderful advocate for the sport of dressage.
A master of more than one Equestrian discipline, Heath rode at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games for the Australian Dressage Team, has been three times Assistant Coach for the Australian Olympic Eventing Team and has himself been the Australian Three Day Event Champion three times. He is the reigning Australian Grand Prix Champion and is on the Dressage Elite Squad with his breeding stallion Regardez Moi.
In this training DVD, Heath rides Clyde Wunderwald’s 8yo gelding Greenoaks Weltman. At 16.2hh, ‘Mendy’ is by the imported stallion Man About Town, out of an imported Weltmeyer mare. He was the Australian 4yo Young Horse Champion at Dressage With The Stars in 2005, then took out the 6yo Championship in 2008.
‘Mendy’ has had a successful career up the EFA levels with scores of over 70% at official competitions. He is now wining at Prix St George/Intermediate I level.
In this DVD, Heath and ‘Mendy’ are preparing for an upcoming PSG/Inter I comp. Heath carefully explains his methods during the session, concentrating on trot tempo, straightness in canter and working through the PSG test step by step, aswell as an interesting discussion about Hyperflexion.
Watch a 5 minute preview of the DVD!
