The Munster Indoors show took place from the 13th to 17th January 2010.
The short Grand Prix was won by Finnish rider Emma Kanerva and Sini Spirit with 69.024%. Emma managed to beat her boss and trainer Hubertus Schmidt who finished 5th riding the 10 year old stallion Lento with 65.268%
Kanerva then went on to win the Kur with 75.4% again ahead of Hubertus Schmidt who this time landed in 2nd place with Lento on 74.1%
The Grand Prix (qualifier for the Special) was won by Hubertus Schmidt & his chestnut gelding Donnelly with 72.553% . The pair continued on what was a most successful weekend to win the Grand Prix Special with 74.333%.
Hayley Beresford took two horses, her Olympic mount Relampago do Retiro for the Grand Prix/ Kur and Fernhill Derry who made his Grand Prix debut. Derry did very well to finish 13th out of a field of 25 starters with a score of 62.976%
Hayley and Reli ended up 13th in their qualifier with 64.681% followed up with a 5th place in the Kur with 70.9%
Lyndal Oatley and Potifar battled the scary environment to finsih 21st in the Grand Prix with a score of 60.298% . Lyndal had her hands full trying to convince poor Poti (by Jazz) that it was not as scary as he thought and although it took him until the 1 tempis to believe it, he then settled and finished his test off well.
Lyndal is already looking forward to getting her newest partner ToyStory out for their first show next month. Word is that both Toy and Lyndal are very happy together and the feeling Lyndal has is very good, so I am excited to see how things will go for this new pair… fingers crossed!
